This product is a high-temperature retort stand-up pouch (bottom-gusset doypack) specially designed for ready-to-eat sweet corn kernels. It features a front transparent clear window, stands upright on the shelf, and lets consumers see the corn kernels inside directly.

It uses a multi-layer composite film resistant to 121℃ high-temperature retort sterilization: PET/PA/RCPP for the transparent version and PET/AL/PA/RCPP for the aluminum foil version. The outer PET layer offers good stiffness and excellent printability; the middle PA (nylon) layer provides outstanding toughness that prevents corn kernels' sharp edges from piercing the pouch during sterilization; the foil version adds a 7-9μm pure aluminum foil layer in the middle for complete light blocking and extra-long shelf life. The inner layer must be retort-grade RCPP (cast polypropylene) used as the heat-seal layer - ordinary PE film softens and loses strength above 100℃ and cannot withstand 121℃ sterilization for 30-45 minutes, which would cause seal cracking and delamination. Total thickness is 100-150μm (100-120μm is recommended for standard 121℃ retort), heat-seal strength ≥35N/15mm, suitable for automated packaging lines. The pouch has a flat folded bottom gusset so it stands upright, a widened top seal, an optional easy-tear notch, and a clear window made of high-barrier transparent film such as K-coating, AlOx or EVOH, combining high barrier performance with product visibility.

Four performance features work synergistically to provide full-chain protection. First, retort resistance: the pouch withstands 121-135℃ sterilization while remaining sealed, free of delamination and deformation, enabling ambient-temperature storage. Second, high barrier performance: it effectively blocks oxygen, moisture and light, preventing the corn kernels from oxidative discoloration, oil rancidity and damp mildew, giving a shelf life of 12-24 months at room temperature. Third, self-standing display: the flat folded bottom gusset keeps the pouch standing stably on the shelf, and the clear window shows the golden kernels to boost shelf appeal. Fourth, puncture and drop resistance: the nylon layer keeps the pouch from bursting or leaking during filling, palletizing, long-distance transport and re-sorting, significantly reducing losses in warehousing and logistics.

Suitable for ready-to-eat sweet corn kernels, waxy corn kernels, mixed vegetable kernels and other granular foods that require high-temperature sterilization and ambient-temperature storage and distribution.
